This tournament is played using 2-person teams. Each player on the team plays his or her own golf ball throughout the round, and on each hole the low net score - or "better ball" - of the team serves as the team score. For example, if Player A gets a 5 (with no strokes) and B gets a 4 (with a handicap stroke), then the team score for that hole is 3, because the low net score of the team was B's 3.
Better ball is played as stroke play with the total score added up at the end of the round.
